From the IRC's Lucy Apio, in Uganda, where the IRC and its partners are helping establish dialogues for peace among ethnic groups in Karamoja. Recurrent drought and hunger have sparked fierce competition for scarce resources in the region:

This photo shows two warring groups in a dialogue meeting at the border. Community meetings are the main strategy to help the warring parties understand each other and together develop a solution that benefits all of them.
