Nearly two million refugees from Iraq have fled to neighboring countries. Another two million are displaced within their own country's borders. And ongoing violence and persecution forces roughly 40,000 more Iraqis to flee their homes every month. The needs of these uprooted people are enormous.

The IRC is launching critical programs in Iraq, Jordan and Syria to aid families who have fled in search of safety. We've urged the U.S. and the international community to respond quickly to their plight, and we're ready to help resettle families in the U.S.

How can you help? By telling Congress to pass legislation to protect and assist fleeing Iraqis.
