A few quick facts shared by IRC health teams:

Over the past year:

- Nearly 223,000 people attended HIV-awareness-raising sessions delivered by IRC programs in Kenya, Thailand and Tanzania.

- Almost 7,000 pregnant women chose to be tested for HIV in IRC’s programs In Kenya, Thailand and Tanzania.

- More than 2,100 partners of pregnant women chose to be tested for HIV in IRC’s programs in Tanzania.

- 43 survivors of rape received PEP through IRC’s programs in Kenya, Thailand and Tanzania. PEP are antiviral medications that are administered as soon as possible after exposure to HIV to prevent infection.

Currently:

- 275 people whose immune systems are badly damaged by HIV receive Cotrimoxizole to prevent 'opportunistic' infections through IRC’s programs ın Kenya, Thailand and Tanzania.

- 99 people living with HIV in Kenya, Thailand and Tanzania receive antiretroviral therapy directly through IRC’s programs.
